I live in a converted barn with my husband, Martin. We're both retired and our children are all adults and live elsewhere. We can offer you 2 private bedrooms with own bathroom. Shared use of kitchen, living room & garden. All rooms are generous sized so it will be comfortable. Big garden with vegetable patch & polytunnel can also be shared. Plenty of room to run around. There are stairs, not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Happy to accept children but sorry, no pets and no smokers. We are in rural Suffolk, so it's very different from living in a town or city. We are about a 10 minute walk from Laxfield village which has a shop, church, chapel, pre-school, primary school and a couple of pubs. We have set up a community support group so that we can help each other prepare for our guests and to provide support for all refugees that come to live here, with transport, social events, access to English teaching etc. There are about 50 of us in our group at the moment, in a number of villages in the area. If you have friends and family that would like to live in the countryside please let me know and I will do what I can to help.
